Managing Stress

Our Managing Stress programmes have enabled participants to:

  • Show an understanding of the causes and effects of stress
    • define what is meant by stress and identify the likely effects it can have, differentiating between acceptable and unacceptable levels of stress
    • identify and describe and least 2 reasons why people develop stress in the workplace

  • Show an understanding of a variety of techniques for managing stress
    • develop and practice at least 2 methods for relieving stress
    • identify which methods for relieving stress are likely to be the most beneficial in at lest 3 different situations

  • Develop a personal action plan for dealing with stress
    • prepare a practical plan of action which identifies some potentially stressful situations and outline suitable techniques for managing the stress
